This week was my last one as a Family Worker at Meadows Children's Centre. I have mixed feelings - excitement and nervousness about not having a job and being a stay at home mum instead.
On Tuesday the staff at Meadows prepared a buffet lunch to stay goodbye. They also gave me two glass picture frames, flowers and Debenhams gift vouchers.
After work on Friday I went out with the girls from Lewsey. We went for a meal at the Fancott Arms - which was delicious. It should have been a joint goodbye for me and Nicola, whose baby is due the day before ours. Sadly she had been taken into hospital earlier in the day with high blood pressure and was unable to join us. The girls from Lewsey also gave me a gift of Debenhams vouchers.
It was a lovely evening and a nice goodbye to somewhere I have enjoyed working.

Robin and Hanna's Wedding

I had arranged table decorations for the restaurant so we took those with us, along with the dogs.

Preparations were in full swing and it as a full house with us and the two witnesses.
Hanna got little Theo ready then they all left for the Register Office leaving Sam, Charlotte and I to follow on later to the restaurant with Theo.
We followed along at the appropriate time - as we parked the car the heavens opened but it had stopped by the time we were ready to walk to the restaurant.
We were last to arrive - Theo was very pleased to see his Mum and Robin.
A lovely meal was had by all - and at the end we toasted the happy couple.
Robin and Hanna went off to stay at Broomhill Art Hotel for the night. We stayed at their house and looked after Theo - who was very good for us.
The next morning - after a slight battle with trousers, we took Theo for a walk down to the shop for milk and bread. By the time we got back Robin and Hanna were home. It was a lovely weekend and we were very proud of our son.

Birthday Celebrations
Its Sally's Birthday today - Sam and I took her at Mum out for dinner last night to celebrate. We struggled to book anywhere so ended up at the Warden.
The food was nice and we had a good time - lots of laughs.
Sally sent a text this morning to say thank you for her gifts and for taking her out - she felt very special!

New Year
Sam and I saw in the New Year at home with the dogs. Around 5.00 we were woken by some idiots letting off fireworks - which went on for around half an hour. We were not best pleased as it made Casey bark.
This year looks to be an exciting one - starting with a wedding in January, Vickie and Jerry arriving to stay in February and the baby due in March. This is followed by Pip graduating as a doctor later in the summer! We shall see what the rest of the year holds for us all.
Happy 2014!
