Monthly Update - Two Years, Three Months
Time is flying -it has been a strange month with both Mummies having time away overnight. Mummy Jackie had one night away at Champneys with Charlotte - and Marcus was a good boy for Mummy Sam. Then Mummy Sam went away for a week to Seattle for work - but we chatted to her every day on Skype and was very pleased when she came home!
Another language explosion has happened this month - most heard phrases are "I do it", "Its mine" and "Stop hands" - Marcus is wanting to be independent and do everything himself. Marcus can identify most colours now and understands what one and two mean - he has an awareness of other numbers too!
Marcus's interest in bin lorries, trains, diggers and cars continues. Most of his role play is around collecting rubbish or digging - although he still likes to play cooking in his kitchen.
Marcus loves to be outside playing - riding on his toys, climbing, swinging, drawing and playing with water.
Marcus has adapted well to sleeping in his big bed - and doesn't get up in the night - although he comes into us in the morning when he wakes up. He waits for Mr Sun on the Groclock before appearing though!
Sharing is a skill we are working at - Marcus is not keen to let other children play with his toys at the moment!
Marcus loves stories - especially if they are about trains, tractors or diggers - he will listen to quite a long story now - but still loves some board books that he can read himself!
