Visitors

Last week was a week for visitors! On Sunday Mum popped over to see the conservatory and have cuddles with Marcus.
On Monday Dot came visiting - it was lovely to see her again. She bought Marcus a little jacket and a Mr Happy toy.

On Wednesday Bonnie came to see us - she hadn't been to the house before even though we have been here over three years now! She was well - waiting for grandchild number 11 to be born!

On Thursday Sally, Lauren and Jay came over in the evening. Lauren and Jay wanted to see the conservatory as they are thinking of having one. They were all amazed at how much Marcus has grown!

On Saturday Robin, Hanna and Theo came to see us. Hanna had a hospital appointment and they all came to have lunch afterwards with us. Theo has a big bike now and is enjoying riding it in his new garden.

Car Boot

Sam and I decided to go to the carboot at the last minute today - the weather had been wet and we weren't sure there would be anyone there. We had £15.00 between us. It turned out to be a good trip as we got some bargains.
Our first purchase was a playpen for Marcus for £8.00. It folds up into a bag and has a sunshade to go over it - new they retail at £130 RRP and the cheapest Sam could find one was £80.00 - so a real bargain!

Sam then bought a aquadoodle for £2.00 - which Marcus will love painting on, I bought a bath toy for £1.00 and Sam found a little all in one for Marcus for 50p. I also found a wooden counting game for 50p and  couple of weaning spoons for 20p. We had about £3.00 left and managed to secure a storage shelf with that! The lady wanted £5.00 for it but didn't want to ake it home so let us have it for our remaining cash! All in all a good boot sale for us.

Six Months Old Today

Marcus is six months old now - it has gone so fast and he has changes so much. He can roll over, sit up and is starting to pull himself to a sitting position. Marcus can also wave, hold a spoon and get it into his mouth. He is enjoying solid food especially fruit, squashes and fromage frais. Marcus likes to stand on his feet and is able to move backwards when on the floor - next stage crawling I think!
He is an independent young man and lets us know what he wants by screaming - but has the most adorable smile when he is happy!

Dinner With Rob and Hanna

Sam, Marcus and I went over to Rob and Hanna's for dinner this afternoon. Sam did some pressure washing for them - to chase away any eight legged creatures from their covered in area!

Charlotte joined us later for dinner and was keen to have a bounce!

Robin cooked us a lovely dinner of cauliflower cheese and sausages - Marcus enjoyed it too!

Babysitting

I went to babysit Theo today while Sam took Hanna to see a solicitor. I decided it was easier to go to his house as Casey is quite boisterous at the moment.
We has a great day and Theo was as good as gold, playing nicely until his mummy came home.

Weaning

We have been weaning Marcus for a few of weeks now - he really enjoys his food and initiated the process by grabbing a piece of courgette from Sam's pizza and eating it!
We haven't found anything he doesn't like yet but apricots are a particular favourite!
