Giving blogging from my phone a go using a new app which I downloaded myself. Still finding typing a bit of a mission but getting better.

Valentine Gift

I have received a Valentine gift early - a smart phone! It is a HTC Evo so I have entered the 21st century now. It has a 3d camera - which looks great and lots of great apps. I am enjoying Angry Birds too. I have managed to send a text message, connect to the web to check my mail so feel very proud of myself.

New Year Resolutions

I have been giving these some thought - rather than make a rash decision on New Years Day and not keep to them. This is what I have come up with -

• To smile more
• To exercise regularly
• To finish some of the projects I have started
• To assess my life and put some long term goals in place
• To sort out cupboards / loft and reuse, freecycle or charity shop stuff we don't use / need
• To use up toiletries, make-up etc that we have bought / been given as gifts
  

Goodbye Steve

Heard sad news today that a great guy I worked with at Yarl's Wood and who lived at the top of our road in Rushden died today of a brain haemorrhage. He went into hospital on Friday and died this afternoon - he was only 44 and had two teenage sons.

Holiday In Cape Town

We had a lovely break in Constantia with Chris, Louise and Jess over Christmas and New year - including a 50th Birthday celebration for Louise. It was lovely to see Vickie and Jerry too - it has been 18mths since we saw them last.
We packed lots into the two weeks - and the pictures speak for themselves -
