Friday - Sam was off today and I finished at lunch time. We had lunch together - home made vegetable soup and then went to visit Mum and Dad. We had bought Mum a new laptop as she has outgrown the basic starter one we bought her two years ago. The new one, a HP, is much faster and runs windows 8. After a quick tutorial we leave her to enjoy it!
Saturday - we take the dogs for a quick walk on Blow's Downs. Casey found a tennis ball which she enjoyed playing with. The ball went into a bush - Casey went in after it and had a fit under the bush. She recovered quickly and we continued our walk.
Sam and I then drove to Leighton Buzzard to collect Charlotte and go and get some bunny food from the farm shop. We then had a picnic lunch sitting by the canal in the sunshine. After lunch Sam and I drove to MK and I had a look in Hobbycraft (disappointing) and Laura Ashley where I bought some lovely fabric in the sale. I am planning to make a skirt with it.
Sunday - Sam went walking with Pixel, Kate and Harry - I took Casey for a nice walk on her own. She was a good girl and enjoyed playing with her ball. Pixel was also a good boy on his walk - and came back when called.
Sam and I then went to the car boot at Redborne and got a few bargains. We each got a top - mine 50p and Sam's 40p. I got a Karen Millen silk dress for £2.00 - sadly too small for me but should fit Charlotte. Sam found a body composition analyser for £1.00 and a dog ball launcher. She also got a quicksilver rucksack which she knocked the lady down to 50p for. Altogether a good morning. It was very hot and Sam caught the sun and ended up a bit pink! Mum popped over with a carrot cake for Sam - her favourite!
Monday - Sam popped over to sort Mum's laptop out - one of the cats had put it in flight mode so she couldn't get on the internet. Dad was gloating as it is usually him with an IT problem!
We had a lovely BBQ this afternoon for Charlotte's birthday - the weather was perfect and we had a great time. Charlotte's friends Rick and Claire joined us. The dogs were very well behaved around people and food. Sam and I took the dogs for a walk up on the Downs in the evening - a lovely end to the weekend.
