Moving Day

Hanna, Robin and Theo moved to their new home in Lidlington today - I am sure they will be very happy there!

The Conservatory is Up !

The two fitters arrived Friday morning as planned to fit the conservatory. It was a scorching hot day and they worked hard to get it finished. The end result is great and we are very pleased!

Sam and I popped to Ikea and bought some sails, blinds and laminate flooring to finish the job. Sam and Jerry put the sails up on Saturday morning. They are great for keeping the sun out and helping to keep the space cool. I made a start on the blinds - and managed to get one up.

Robin came over to lay the flooring for us on Saturday evening - he did a great job and was super speedy too.

We had a family BBQ to finish off a busy couple of days.

Robin came back on Sunday and finished the edging for the floor. I did the rest of the blinds today - the conservatory now looks finished and a really useable space. Sam made an expensive purchase of a Dyson hot and cool fan to use in the conservatory.

Marcus, Sam and I went to a party today - he is a year old now! We had fun and Marcus was a good boy!

The conservatory arrived today - ready for fitting on Friday!

Family Picnic

We had a lovely picnic today at Wrest Park in Silsoe. It looked a bit doubtful this morning as we had thunder, lightening and heavy rain but we decided to chance it - and it turned into a really hot afternoon.
Theo enjoyed playing in the park while we waited for Jayne and Steven to arrive.

We had our picnic in the shade and then a stroll through the grounds, finishing up in the house. An ice lolly completed our day - and we all needed one to cool down.

Even More Conservatory Preparations

Sam pressure washed the outside of the house down - as this will soon be inside the conservatory! The conservatory should have been arriving on Monday but has been delayed till the following Monday as the roof is not ready. Fitting is still the 25th July.
