Vickie arrives back here on the train from St Pancras and Sam and I collect her from the station.
We go to have brunch at The Nearest Cafe. After a quick shop at Aldi, Vickie goes off to collect Jerry and Paddy from Luton Airport and takes them to Paddy and Angela's house where they are having dinner and staying overnight.
Monday 1st October
I go the bus to work this morning. Vickie and Jerry drove home from Paddy and Angela's, but were mistaken about the time I finished work so were in the pub when I finished work - so I hopped on the bus to get home too. I put the slow cooker on with some beef and vegetables. I went off to dog training and then we had dinner together when I got home. I had an early night and left Sam to chat with her mum and Jerry.
Tuesday 2nd October
As Vickie and Jerry went to Bedford today I took the car to work. They had a nice time exploring the town they lived in - including a trip to M&S. Later they met up with Angie and Shaun, and spent the evening with some of their former neighbours - which turned into an overnight stay!
My day off! Vickie and Jerry arrive home from Bedford mid morning - they show me all their purchases and they have a lovely top for me too. Vickie is feeling a little delicate so goes for a little rest on the bed! After lunch Vickie and I potter down to the charity shop - where she gets two tops and a pair of trousers for £6.00 - what a bargain!
Jerry and Vickie then head off to spend the evening with Frank - while I cook a roast dinner for Sam and I!
Thursday 4th October
My 50th Birthday - I am at work today and Vickie and Jerry go to see some of Jerry's relations who live in London. They get a little delayed so I get the bus home from work - complete with balloon and orchid!
Once everyone is home we go out for a Birthday dinner at The Star in Chalton. We have a nice evening - except Vickie's dinner doesn't smell right so she can't eat it. Once home we continue celebrating with a bottle of Dom Perignon 2000 - which was delicious!
