Today London 2012 has declared the Olympic aquatic centre open for business - the last of the six permanent Olympic Park venues to finish construction.
Amazingly plans seem to be running to time so far.

this made the news here, we were impressed by progress, and yes somewhat surprised...makes a nice change to be able to be proud of the brits
