Agency Work

I did my first shift today for Kangacrew at Kings Cottage Nursery in Sharnbrook. It was an 8.30 - 5.30 shift with an hour for lunch. Lunch was from 11.00 - 12.00 so it felt a long, long afternoon. However it was lovely to be back with some children - I was working in the preschool room, which I enjoyed very much. Felt cream crackered when I got home though!!

Job Opportunities

Well jobs are a bit like buses - nothing for ages then two opportunities come along at the same time. One is for a Childrens Centre Manager in Luton, the other a Manager for a Day Nursery in Milton Keynes - this one is full time and the other one 25hours a week. Well I shall wait and see if anything comes of them!!

Freegle

I love Freegle - you advertise all your unwanted stuff and nice people come and take it away. I have been busy advertising some stuff as part of the declutter and packing up to move preparations.
We have also got some nice stuff - recently Sam's crosstrainer and a hamster cage which I use to put the boys in when I'm cleaning out their cage.
Long live Freegle!!

Cellulitis

Trip to A&E second lot of antibiotics to be taken as well as the first ones and now have cellulitis which is the red puffy swelling. Thanks Boo!

Hand injury 2

I have now managed to scrape my already swollen and sore hand on the gate!

Poorly hand

Boodle was being territorial when she saw another cat through window and my hand got in the way. Antibiotics and painkillers for the next few days!

Sams New Job

Well Sam is on day three of her new job. Until we move it involves getting up at stupid o' clock - 5.30 am, so that I can drive her to the station in Wellingborough for a 7.15 train.
Her train arrives back at 7.05 in the evening so it is a long day for her at the moment.
However she is enjoying the job, and things will be much easier after we have moved to a house which you can walk to the station from!

End of an Era

Well that is that - I have finished work and am now officially redundant. The last day was emotional but it was nice that the occasion was marked with an official goodbye in the Board Room. Each of the remaining members of the Child Services Team were presented with a beautiful bouquet too.
I shall always have fond memories of a great place to work and will keep in touch with some very special people.

Now its time to move on - onwards and upwards, new home and new jobs for both Sam and I!!
