Family Moses Basket

Mum bought a moses basket for me to sleep in 53 years ago! All the babies in the family up to Shaun have slept in it but when we got it out to look at it before Marcus was born we found it had deteriorated. Mum bought a new one to start a new tradition  - and so far Marcus and Rowan have both used it.
Mum got the old moses basket down from the loft recently to throw away - but Sally persuaded her to try and get it repaired - and amazingly she found someone in Leighton Buzzard who could do it. He did a great job - and the basket is as good as new for a cost of only £40!
Marcus had a lay down in it - although he s far too big to sleep in it now! Mum is making a new cover for it ready for the two new n=babies due early next year!

Big boy now!

Twenty Months Today

This month has again passed in a flash. Marcus has had three canine teeth come through - that just leaves his four back molars, then teething is done for now. He loves counting one two three and his most used words are door, or open door and up. New words include dog, Casey, Pixel and help - although he doesn't use that very often as he prefers just to shout! Oh dear also features regularly!
Marcus loves to build - especially with megablocks at the moment. He is good at selecting the right shape brick for a gap. He still plays with his stacking cups lots and likes to push a car around saying 'brum brum'. Holding a phone (real or pretend) to his ear and saying hello features a lot in his play as does wearing hats!
He does not have a bottle any more - just a cup of warm milk at bedtime. He uses his spoon and fork really well and still enjoys his food very much.
Marcus's bedtime routine is well established and he goes to bed happily after teeth cleaning, a story or three and a cuddle. Olu is always a bedtime companion.
Marcus has settled at the new playsession in Greenfields - it has taken a few weeks but he plays happily now, he also enjoys the soft play in the village, which we try to do once a month.
Swimming lessons continue - and Marcus will now swim on his own just supported by a woggle or swimfin. He kicks his feet to propel himself along.
Our independent little boy will push the barstool around the kitchen so he can reach what he wants - and what he is not meant to have!

Very steady walker
